Mira-Bhayandar is set to get a specialized cancer hospital.
The hospital aims to serve over 50 lakh people, not just from Mira Bhayandar but also from nearby suburbs, ensuring timely and efficient cancer care within the city. The proposed 120-bed cancer hospital.
"The concept of establishing a Cancer Hospital in Mira Bhayandar was born out of a pressing need to provide accessible and affordable cancer treatment to the local population. The initial motivation stemmed from the numerous challenges faced by cancer patients in the region, who often had to travel long distances to Mumbai for specialised care. This not only caused immense physical and emotional stress but also added a significant financial burden on families," said MLA Geeta Bharat Jain.
