LUCKNOW: Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati on Saturday pointed fingers at Congress for neglecting Dalits and Muslims in Karnataka after Siddaramaiah was sworn in as the chief minister and state Congress president D K Shivakumar, as his deputy on Saturday.

She asked Congress why it ignored Dalits and Muslims, when both the communities, together, voted it to power in the state?

Congratulations!

"After the Karnataka assembly elections, Congress made DK Shivakumar the deputy chief minister to suppress tussle within the party to some extent, but why has it ignored Dalit and Muslim communities, both of whom voted Congress to power?," she said in a tweet.
Congress has turned a blind eye to the claims made by the Dalit community for the post of chief minister in Karnataka, she said, adding that now not making any Dalit or Muslim as the deputy CM further exposes the party's casteist mindset. "The party thinks of these communities only in its bad days. There is a need for Dalits and Muslims to be cautious," she added.
