Outside of Jordan Davis’ music career, he also upholds his responsibilities as a husband to his wife, Kristen O’Connor, and a father to their two kids, plus one on the way.

The couple has been married for six years as of March 25, 2023 and their love story began back in the country star’s home state, Louisiana. At the time, Davis, a budding artist, was in town for his college roommates wedding while Kristen, an attorney, was attending her sorority sister’s wedding. Even though they were attending completely separate ceremonies, the wedding parties were staying in the same hotel and found themselves crossing paths from time-to-time.

“We ended up meeting after the wedding, down in the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express in Houma,” Davis explained during an interview with CMT

Kristen jokingly added that it was “very romantic,” before recalling the moment the two connected in an elevator. While on her way to grab something from her room, she and her friends ran into Davis and his group, who apparently were ready to start a party as they were holding a bottle of Jose Cuervo tequila.

“We were just taking shots in the elevator,” she shared of the moment. “We rode the elevator up and down with them for, I don’t know, it felt like a long time, it was probably five or 10 minutes. But mind you, there were only three or four floors in the hotel so we were just up and down having a party.”

Married In 2017

They formed such a strong bond in that extended elevator ride that Davis decided to change his flight so that they could spend more time together. Fast forward to 2017, the pair tied the knot and started their family two years later.

Opening up about the news of their first child with PEOPLE, Davis shared, “We are so thankful and so blessed. This is a really special moment and we’ve been trying to drink it in and enjoy the process. We are looking forward to meeting the little guy or girl later this year.”

“We’re so grateful for this blessing and if I can be anywhere near the type of father that my dad was to me that will be a really good start,” he added before gushing about his wife as he said, “I know Kristen is going to be an incredible mom.”

Children

Entertainment Tonight reported that the pair officially welcomed their baby girl, Eloise Larkin Davis, on Sunday, November 17, 2019. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee and weighed in at 8 lbs., and measured 19.75 inches.

“We are overjoyed with the addition of our baby girl Eloise Larkin Davis,” they told the outlet. “Momma and baby are healthy as can be and we have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season.”

In between getting married and announcing their first child, Davis released his debut album, Home State, in March of 2018. This project played a big role in kickstarting his career as it featured his Platinum-certified debut single, “Singles You Up,” as well as his follow-up single, “Take It from Me,” which is certified Gold also reached the No. 1 spot on the country charts.

In 2020, fans got a glimpse into Davis life and relationship with the release of the official music video for this song, “Detours.” The heartfelt video captured many milestones for the couple through a slideshow of photos from the years they were dating all the way up to their wedding day and the birth of their first child.

The family started to grow even more in 2021 when they announced they were expecting their second child, a boy. The exciting news was shared to social media in a post that featured an adorable family photo of Davis, his wife, Kristen, and their 18-month-old daughter with a card that read, “It’s a boy!”

“Add a few limbs to the family tree…add me to the list of artists putting out new music and having kids during quarantine,” Davis captioned the photo in reference to his fan-favorite hit, “Buy Dirt,” featuring Luke Bryan.

Davis had the pleasure of introducing their newborn son, Locklan Joseph, to the world on, September 4, 2021.

“God is good…Locklan Joseph arrived yesterday, and he is perfect,” Davis wrote on social media at the time.

He went on to praise his wife saying, “Kristen is the toughest person I’ve ever met and she did such an amazing job getting him here. Momma and baby are both doing great and I am so blessed to get to be Locklan and Eloise’s Dad.”

Their most recent family news comes in the form of another pregnancy announcement. Davis took to social media to share the exciting news on Feb. 23, 2023 using his sentimental song and current radio single, “Next Thing You Know.”

Changing up the lyrics to fit the big news, he sang, “Next thing you know / you got a baby coming in June / acted out the words in no time soon.”

He added, “She got knocked up. Baby number three coming.” While looking to his pregnant wife the country singer asked, “is that how we’re saying it babe? You got knocked up?”

“I think we can find a better way to say that,” Kristen added with a laugh.

“We’re pregnant. Again. Next thing you know…” Davis concluded.

Third Child

In a statement to his label, the “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot” also shared that they have decided to wait and find out the gender of the baby at the birth in June.

“There truly is no greater joy in the world than welcoming a baby, and we don’t know what it is. We’re gonna wait and find out, but (we’re) really excited come June to be bringing home a baby brother or a baby sister to Lock and Eloise,” he explained. “So far Kristen’s been great. Everything looks healthy, you know, we’re just continuing to pray for a safe delivery and looking forward to meeting the little fella or little girl here soon. I’m pumped.”

“Next Thing You Know” is a featured track on Davis’ brand new album, Bluebird Days. Within his sophomore collection, he dives into the depths of his true emotions while reflecting on the current stage of his life, how he got to this point and what’s to come next.

“I think for me, the main thing I wanted it to be is the most honest record or collection of songs that I’ve ever put out,” Davis previously told Country Now and other outlets while discussing his latest project.
