This is an excellent museum - from the classical to modern paintings to the glass. They do not charge entrance fee but there is fee for parking, $10/car. The staff is warm and helpful. Very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

For being the fifth most extensive animal collection in the United States with 720 species, it's a tad underwhelming. But the Toledo Zoo is a great family outing nonetheless, and quite a sprawling property.

Parking is efficient considering the plethora of daily guests and the zoo itself is laid out in a logical manner. Highlights (on paper) would include very rare animals like tigers, rhinos, and red pandas. But on our three visits, the tigers and red pandas were perpetually in hiding while only one rhino appeared. So the zoo is doing their part to preserve rare species, but you probably won't see them.

Actual highlights include a large elephant exhibit, feeding giraffes for an extra fee, the impressive reticulated python and green anaconda, and an impressive array of giants like the hippo, many gorillas and Kodiak bears, and a spectacular pack of polar bears.

My husband and I enjoyed visiting the museum. They have many exhibits to tell you the history of shipping in the Great Lakes. They have many artifacts from the Edmund Fitzgerald which my husband saw when it was first launched in Detroit.

Fantastic science center! The photos don't do it justice. We were on a schedule, so we only had about 2 hours there, but we could have spent longer! 7 year old loved it!

Wow! Just a bit out of town, and it's HUGE! Lots of choices of what to do and where to go. Parking was plentiful and there were very few people around. Got to see a heron just waiting for supper.

Good trip. We arrived at approximately 10 am and made our way towards the entrance of the gardens. There was a paved walking path that took us for a loop around the area. We were able to admire various different types of plants and trees on the walk. There was a decent sized lake on the premise as well as various benches and gazebos. The botanical garden also contained a large play area for kids and restrooms on site.

Tip: I recommend spending 1 hour here if you truly want to see everything.

Wildwood is one of Toledo’s beautiful metro parks. So many paths to walk and run on. Lots of trees for shade, picnic tables and benches. The restrooms are always clean. Lots of wildlife to see if you get there early in the morning.

Our visit to the cathedral was for the high school commencement of our granddaughter. She was graduating from The Notre Dame Academy High School.
This is a beautiful church, well maintained and preserved and nearly 100 years old. The graduation ceremony included a full mass including the eucharist. A total of 135 young women were graduating and what was most impressive was how serious these young women take their education.

If you come and Octoberfest beer is on the menu set aside the signature Buckeye pilsner for a glass of this. Not too malty amber deliciousness. Don't worry the Buckeye will be there. The onion rings are a must -tender and meaty rings that are seasoned and battered and crisped up to perfection. The chef in the kitchen is having fun borrowing PB from the association one makes from Buckeye dessert by serving a PB & J burger. It works. The PB adds luscious richness like a layer of cheese and the jelly cuts through it with a silky ribbon of sweetness like cartelized onions would. Shout out to Christine for guiding us through this amazing night,

Do not miss the amazing fining hall and that is presided over by the brew station. The place is majestic. Fun place for maybe a wedding. Have a great time.
