The Honorable Olympia Snowe, former U.S. Senator from Maine, is this year's Clifford Case Professor of Public Affairs. She will highlight themes from her book, Fighting for Common Ground: How We Can Fix the Stalemate in Congress, in a public lecture. Details and RSVP here. 

 

Hillary in Midair: This week's New York Magazine profile of Hillary Clinton includes her first extended interview since leaving the State Department. See what she says about running in 2016.

 

NJ in Top Ten: New Jersey moved up to 10th in the nation for its percentage of women in the legislature when Eliana Pintor Marin was sworn in to the Assembly last week. Marin took the seat of Albert Couthino, who resigned on September 11th.

 

Defeat in NYC: New York City's only female mayoral candidate, Christine Quinn, was defeated in the city's Democratic primary. Journalist Jill Colvin investigates her fall from frontrunner status.

 

Taking a Stand: Kudos to High School Senior Gianna Gagliardi (Lower Makefield, PA) for highlighting the importance of women's political leadership and showing the promise of the next generation of women leaders in this thoughtful editorial.
