Debates done right
Presidential Gender Watch, is paying close attention to debates - past, present and future. PGW, CAWP's nonpartisan project in partnership with the Barbara Lee Family Foundation to track, analyze and illuminate gender dynamics in election 2016, is live-tweeting the presidential debates; follow @GenderWatch2016 and use  #GenderWatch to join the discussion (starting at 8 PM EDT) as the Republicans once again take the stage on October 28. Honoring two trailblazers
On Thursday, November 19th, the Women in Municipal Government Committee of the NJ State League of Municipalities will honor two trailblazing women in state politics and government -- Dr. Stephanie R. Bush-Baskette (l.), Director of the Irvington Health Department and Candy Straight, co-founder of WISH List and a member of the Rutgers Board of Governors. Would women clean up Pennsylvania's Supreme Court?
That's the thinking behind a campaign by the Pennsylvania Business Council, as reported on Philly.com, to promote a bipartisan slate of court candidates that, if elected, would result in a female majority on the scandal-plagued court. 
 
Family time: for some dads, it's essential
Vice President Joe Biden and soon-to-be-Speaker Paul Ryan form an unlikely alliance of working fathers who insist on family time, according to The New York Times.
 
Defining women's issues in a woman-versus-woman race
The Boston Globe reports on the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire, where prominent candidates on both sides of the aisle - incumbent Senator Kelly Ayotte (R) and challenger Governor Maggie Hassan (D) -- offer different views of women's issues.
 
For the next generation of leaders
UK schools are adopting new guidelines to counter gender stereotyping, according to the Independent, and Time highlights a kids' book about the lack of female presidents.
