Southeast Alaska is prone to landslides - there have been four deadly slides in the region within the last decade. Heavy rain can be a trigger, so historical weather data can predict risk in areas susceptible to slides.As KFSK’s Hannah Flor reports, a working group in Petersburg hopes information from newly-installed weather stations can eventually be used to build a landslide warning system.
