More money pours into Oregon casino measures

Supporters of a private casino in Wood Village continue to far outspend opponents in their effort to pass Measures 82 and 83.

The

reported another $1.9 million in donations from PDX Entertainment Group, the company funded by two Canadian firms that want to develop the state's first nontribal casino, Great Canadian Gaming Corp. and Clairvest. That brings their total contributions to $5.4 million so far.

Opponents

from the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, which so far has put in almost all the $1.6 million raised by the It's Still a Bad Idea Committee.

Most of the money from both sides is going toward TV ads. Casino backers so far have spent $3.5 million with
