Docket Searches

Docket Searches

You will be able to search The Oklahoma State Courts Network's Docket system in a variety of ways:

  1. By County
  2. By Case Number
  3. By Case Type
  4. By Name

Lookup by Case Number on The Oklahoma State Courts Network Court Dockets:

  1. You can find your case by Clicking the COURT DOCKETS button (this button is on the top of our home page).
  2. On the Upper Left-Hand portion of the COURT DOCKETS page, there is a Text Box labeled  "Case Number:"  Enter the Case Number in that box following this format:
CM-2002-1234.  If you do not have the case type (i.e., CM), then simply enter the year and case number and it will list all cases that fit that format:  2002-1234.
  3. Select the appropriate County.
  4. Click GO!

Lookup by Name or Other Information on The Oklahoma State Courts Network Court Dockets:

  1. You can find your case by going to the COURT DOCKETS page.
  2. Click on SEARCH DOCKETS (left-hand column of page).
  3. Then on the next page, select the Court you wish to search in the DATABASE field.
  4. Then type in the person's last name in the LAST field, and First Name in the FIRST field.

HINT:  There are additional fields that may be used to limit the search even further (i.e., Date of Birth).  If that information is not entered into the court docket (e.g., date of birth is not usually entered in civil procedures), then those cases will not show up on the results list even if the Last Name and First Name are correct.

WILD CARDS on The Oklahoma State Courts Network Court Dockets:

There are two wild card characters, The percent sign (%) and an underscore(_). The percent sign can be used to find variations of a person's name. Using the percent sign will find all possible combinations of letters following your entry. For example,

Car%

would find Carson, Carter, Carswell, Carpenter, etc. The underscore is used to replace a specific character, such as

Car_on

would find Carson and Carton.  You may use multiple underscores in a row to replace multiple characters. Use wildcards sparingly, as using them carelessly may lead to large search returns with many unrelated cases.

Tips for searching cases entered on the old AOC Mainframe (before January, 2000)

Cases entered on the old mainframe were entered in one free text field.  Data conversion from this field was entirely dependent on the original entering party's accuracy.  There were many variations and misspellings, and locating information can be difficult.  You may want to try adding portions of the name to the last name field, putting the last name in the first name field, or using wildcards.
