Medicine student Ella Linne noticed and dobs to captain Parger, whom Grimm and Hanna persuade to let him work for his passage, including fetching a vital spare part at the notoriously often-closed (matrons-run) port authority. In the process Eric and Ella become friends and collaborators, rendering him mores responsible, her more aware, self-reliant and sensitive, changing both lives. Botanist Bastian Schwarzer boarded to study coffee plants, seemingly a perfect match with plantation official Anne, who goes berserk I his bed finding out he may well have got the heart of her late husband. *Attractive German-Turkish pensioner Nazim Günay has an instant crush on fellow senior widow Rose Förster, whose first name is the German equivalent of his late wife. Rose's best friend Hortense Meier spares no effort to match them, but Rose fears the cultural differences. Captain Parger isn't the only crew member mesmerized by the star passenger: retired national football goalie Roman Weidenfeller, who graciously enables a medical charity benefit 'tournament' for a sick passenger.
