Despite this, Icarus yearns to prove himself as a hero, and gets his chance when he is sent on an extraordinary quest. Icarus is chosen to join the Gate Seekers - a guild of powerful Oracles who can control the forces of light. He is joined by Rohan, an exiled noble with superhuman dexterity; Narielle, an ex-bandit with an enchanted slingshot; and Kei, an Oracular Warrior who can conjure weapons out of light. Together, these unlikely friends must find the Astral Gateways - supernatural portals with enough energy to nullify the Warlocks' power. ? Once they realize that the Gateways are hidden within dangerous territories, and that the Warlocks are hot on their heels, our heroes find themselves in more danger than they could imagine.
