- During Chris Morris' radio career he is thought to have filled the newsreader's booth with helium, introduced a news flash about a train crash by saying "Tell me your favourite joke" and given running commentries over serious news bulletins, each time resulting in sackings.
- Following the end of the Brass Eye (1997) series, he placed his own obituary in The Guardian newspaper. The final words were: "After his glorious student years at Bristol he went on to a varied broadcasting career before consumption ailed his later years. A good friend, he will be sorely missed".
- Although known as a "media terrorist", Chris is actually one of the shyest people in comedy, hardly ever doing interviews. During his only appearance on a show with a studio audience, "Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge", he was asked by co-star Steve Coogan if he had anything to say to the audience. He said no and quickly went backstage.
- He has just finished shooting a new series built around the character Nathan Barley, with Charlie Brooker. The series, with the working title 'Box of Slice,' is rumoured to be a satirical assault on the 'trendy Hoxton types' and will be shown on Channel 4 in the near future. (September 2004)
