Any questions we had about the whereabouts of Charles Hanani were officially answered in Sunday’s Industry, and the fallout from that traumatic incident only added fuel to the fiery fight between Harper and Yasmin.
But before we hear from Marisa Abela and Myha’la about that jaw-dropping moment, a brief recap. At the top of the episode, we drop in on Yasmin in the middle of an argument with her slimeball father. After he tells her her looks are all she has and that she’s “spectacularly talentless,” she fires back that she wishes he would die. So like the crazy person that he is,...

It’s been almost been 20 years since Doctor Who was revived for a new audience, and the show has brought us lots of Christmas and New Years specials since then. Although Christopher Eccleston rang in this new era with his Ningth Doctor in 2005, David Tennant's Tenth Doctor was the first to star in a holiday special.
We're going to rank every holiday special of the New Who era, including the New Years specials produced during Jodie Whittaker's run as the Thirteenth Doctor. Let's begin!

The Doctor: Jodie Whitaker, the Thirteenth Doctor
Director: Chris Chibnall
While “Resolution” is certainly a visually impressive episode, it's dragged down by a lack of urgency and imagination. This is the first time we see Thirteen meet Daleks.

Exclusive: The BBC has dismissed viewer complaints about an episode of Doctor Who featuring a historic gay kiss between Ncuti Gatwa and Jonathan Groff.
Two disgruntled audience members took issue with the “inappropriate sexual innuendo” that developed between Gatwa’s Time Lord and Groff’s bounty hunter, Rogue, in a Bridgerton-inspired story.
The viewers said the Season 14 episode, titled ‘Rogue,’ featured content that was “unsuitable for children.” One person added that the speed of the Doctor and Rogue’s connection was “concerning.”
The BBC’s Executive Complaints Unit (Ecu) threw out the concerns. In a ruling on Thursday, the unit said the sexual innuendo was mild and suitable for Doctor Who’s young audience.
“The Ecu considered the sexual innuendo to be towards the mildest end of the spectrum and in any case likely to go over the heads of children,” the Ecu said.

Jenna Ortega is heading into production on season 2 of the Addams Family-inspired Netflix series Wednesday and has a prominent role in the long-awaited sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, but she’s no longer a part of two other franchises. Now the full trailer for the upcoming Netflix animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory – which serves as a follow-up to the animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous – reveals that Ortega’s Camp Cretaceous character Brooklynn has been killed off! 60 years ago, Doctor Who was created with a strong educational element, mixing science and history facts with adventure. Initially some stories featured no science-fiction elements outside of the Tardis and its crew. This story format petered out by the fourth season, and ′The Highlanders′ was the last example until ′Black Orchid′ in 1982.
The final story of the second season created the ′Pseudo-historical′ format – a story set in Earth′s history but with an additional science-fiction element to the Tardis crew. This format persists to the present day. By ′Best Historical Episodes′ here, we don’t mean the dozen or so purely historical stories, but are including pseudo-historical stories too.
Some of these stories have a historical setting based around a historical celebrity. Others are more intertwined with historical events and use that setting as a springboard for their stories, but they all represent the best the show has delivered so far.

The whole point of the Extraction franchise is to showcase Chris Hemsworth’s superheroic bravado on a gargantuan scale and make millions out of it. That said, I should clarify: I have absolutely nothing against Hemsworth. The man is literally impossible to dislike. His image is squeaky clean; he has never been associated with a controversy; his Instagram is wholesome as hell; and most essentially, he is an Og Avenger. No matter how wobbly three out of four Thor movies have been, Hemsworth’s charismatic take on the Norse god has always been well-received. That man can literally stand still and still earn a roar from an audience, and you know I am not even exaggerating. That is where Netflix and the Russo brothers saw their golden opportunity and dropped the first movie in the middle of the pandemic. With that becoming a runaway success, a sequel was always inevitable.

Tyler Rake returns with more fight and less heart 3 years after the successful first part of Extraction. Check out our full review for more details about why this one doesn’t pack a punch like part 1. The movie follows Tyler’s whereabouts after he almost died falling off a bridge in Extraction part 1. Nik and Yaz return as the Khan siblings who run the private military company that gives Tyler his jobs. This time the film takes us to Europe for Rake’s new mission and reveals an interesting secret. Let’s get straight into it.
Spoilers Ahead
Plot Synopsis: What Happens In ‘Extraction 2’?

Chris Hemsworth returns to our home screens to redeem himself after the disaster that was Thor: Love And Thunder, but does it work? Hemsworth is the star of Extraction, and he tries his best to make do with what he’s been given, but there isn’t much to go on. Not to say he’s not a great action hero, but at least his ripped body and gigantic-ness make everything he does in these films believable. But that’s not enough to keep a franchise like Extraction alive. It’s especially disappointing because of how good the first part was. There was grit and emotion and some fantastic fight sequences that kept us on the edge of our seats at all times. More importantly, there was a reason to root for Tyler Rake because there was a despicable and ruthless villain against him.

Plot: After barely surviving the events of the first movie, Rake is back as the Australian black ops mercenary, tasked with another deadly mission: rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held.
Review: When Extraction made its debut right at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was the action extravaganza we needed to pull us out of the pandemic funk. It went on to garner 99 million views in its first four weeks, the most watched Netflix original at the time. Three years later, Chris Hemsworth, Joe Russo, and director Sam Hargrave are back with the next chapter which manages to equal the action of the first movie while expanding the world in preparation for Extraction 3 and beyond. With more insight into Tyler Rake’s backstory and a very different mission before him, Extraction 2 is a rock-solid sequel and the...

A funny thing happened during our worldwide lockdown in 2020. With theaters shuttered, our immediate movie-going futures looking bleak and escapist entertainment becoming a therapeutic necessity, along came the rise of The Streaming Service Blockbuster — most notably “Extraction.” Stuntman-turned-director Sam Hargrave’s muscular albeit convoluted actioner, centered on a mercenary sent to rescue the kidnapped son of a crime lord, was handed a captive audience. All the folks at home made it a worldwide sensation for Netflix, and it continues to tear up the charts as their seventh most popular film ever.
Three years later and armed with a far better, bloody and bruising quest for the laconic hero, Hargrave, star Chris Hemsworth and screenwriter Joe Russo return to the burgeoning franchise with “Extraction 2”. The filmmakers’ renewed vigor is our reward as, similar to its unfussy title, this sequel deals in clean-lined action and suspense, removing much of the excessive...

You didn’t think we’d seen the last of Tyler Rake, did you?
The black-ops mercenary played by Chris Hemsworth was the hero of 2020’s Extraction, one of Netflix’s most watched movies ever. So it’s hardly a surprise that the tough-as-nails, macho character returns in the unimaginatively titled Extraction 2, reuniting the Thor actor with director Sam Hargrave and screenwriter Joe Russo (co-director with brother Anthony on four MCU entries, including two Avengers flicks) for another wildly over-the-top adventure based on Andre Parks’ graphic novel Ciudad.
Suffice it to say that if you enjoyed Extraction, you’ll have a fine time with this one, which, in typical franchise fashion, busts its butt attempting to outdo its predecessor. And it does, most notably in a “oner” action sequence designed to appear as if it were filmed in a single take that lasts 21 minutes, or nearly twice as long...

When we last left “Extraction” hero Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) he was, well, he was dead. He’d been beaten, shot multiple times, and tossed into a river, where he was presumably (again) dead. And yet…in the final moments of the Sam Hargrave-directed feature, a shadowy figure emerged, looking a bit like Tyler, albeit very much not dead, to watch over his young charge so many months after his apparent death. But, in the world of blockbuster filmmaking, no one is ever really dead, least of all an ass-kicking Aussie mercenary with a secret soft side, and thus: “Extraction 2.”
That Tyler is indeed not dead has served as the backbone of the Netflix action sequel’s marketing campaign, complete with the kicky hashtag #TylerRakeLives and its accompanying “punching arm on fire” emoji (which is basically this franchise in a nutshell). So it should come as little surprise that...

Bonnie Langford is returning to Doctor Who, reprising her role of legendary companion Melanie Bush.
We first met Mel in 1986, going on time-travelling adventures first with the sixth Doctor, Colin Baker, and then his successor Sylvester McCoy in 1987. During six stories spanning 20 episodes, she encountered villains and monsters aplenty, including the plant-based slave race the Vervoids, genocidal humanoids called the Bannermen, and the infamous renegade Time Lady The Rani.
Now Bonnie Langford is bringing Mel back for an epic adventure with the fifteenth Doctor, Ncuti Gatwa:
