In 1987 Helmikuun manifesti was the last of the Finnish pre-war propaganda films to get released. However, the released version has approximately 11 minutes edited by director Toivo Särkkä.
Original uncut version of the film was discovered in 2002 from The Finnish Film Archive vaults.
Banned in Finland from 1946 until 1987 (somewhat ironically, as this historical drama depicts Finland's struggle for independence during the early 1900's).
Covers years 1899-1918
