The Happytime Murders sounds like one of the most innovative projects currently in development, mixing film noir with comedy and puppets, a blending of genres that has so much potential to be absolutely genius if done well.

They’re short, they’re blue and they’re in the Big Apple. Based on the comic and cartoon that originated in Belgium in 1958, The Smurfs offers an updated look at the adorable kid-friendly characters.
The movie, which grossed a tidy $137 million in theaters, finds the smurfs still battling the evil wizard Gargamel, played here by Hank Azaria (Love and Other Drugs). When Gargamel chases the smurfs out of their village, they end up in Central Park and must find a way home before the wizard tracks them down.
The cast also includes Neil Patrick Harris (TV’s How I Met Your Mother), Jayma Mays (TV’s Glee) and Sofia Vergara (TV’s Modern Family).
All the disc versions of the family film come with special features. On the DVD are:
