It’s been many, many years in the making, but a movie adaptation of Scott Westerfeld’s “Uglies” is finally here.
Directed by McG, the story centers on a society where, at 16 years old, every single person goes through a surgery to make them perfect. Perfect appearance, perfect personality features, you name it. Until they turn 16, they’re known as uglies and live in a compound away from the city.
The story centers on Tally Youngblood, a young girl who discovers that the operation may not be as perfect as it seems. But if you’re reading this article, you’re probably trying to place some of those perfect faces before tuning into the movie.
Well, we’ve got you! You can check out the cast list below.

Exclusive: Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix franchise), Isabelle Fuhrman (The Novice) and Liana Liberato (To the Bone) have signed on to star in Justine Bateman’s upcoming feature Face, based on her 2021 bestseller, Face: One Square Foot of Skin.
The film penned by Bateman consists of 14 vignettes, both comedic and dramatic, which look at women’s faces getting older, and why that makes people angry. While much of society appears to assume that women’s faces are somehow broken and need to be fixed, Face reveals some of the many ways in which women, and those around them, allow this idea to take root at all.
Parker will play Tanya, an actress balancing her need to use her face for her job and the pressure to not move it at all, with Moss as Mrs. Foster, a kindergarten teacher whose young students remind her of the magical functionality of the face.

In a time of reboots, remakes and sequels, Wattpad Webtoon is aiming to bring more original stories to Hollywood and counter that franchise bloat. As Wattpad Webtoon Studios president Aron Levitz tells Variety, the goal is to show production banners and media platforms that loyal webcomic and series fans will tune in to their TV adaptations of those titles. And so far, it’s working.
The Webtoon-adapted K-drama “Sweet Home” and Wattpad-originated young adult film series “The Kissing Booth,” both on Netflix, has given the company an early boost in making Hollywood inroads. And now, the recent hire of former Fox Entertainment and AMC Entertainment president David Madden as head of global entertainment is another example of the company’s move to further ramp up its entertainment industry presence.

The killer has been revealed!
All the mystery pieces fell into place on I Know What You Did Last Summer Season 1 Episode 8. After weeks of bloody deaths, Wai Huna's serial killer came into the light and left chaos in their way. Kudos to everyone who got it right.
But with the killer unmasked, did the reveal live up to the anticipation? Or was it just another summer memory?
"Your Next Life Could Be So Much Happier" kept us on our toes. Every time there was a chance of hope, the Og crew and the killer muddied the waters to make this a shocking and uneasy end.
Margot being the killer made a lot of sense.
I'm not saying this because I guessed that she and Kyle were involved in the killings early on. The reveal worked because her killer motivation fit the build-up to this moment; that everything we knew...

Between the live action reboot of Mortal Kombat and my growing appreciation of the animated Batman films it was pretty much a given that I would check out another of Warner’s animated offerings, Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms begins with a couple fleeing through deserted streets before being confronted by a trio of nasty looking creatures. They kill the couple but Raiden (Dave B. Mitchell; Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous) arrives in time to save their baby whom the mother names Liu Kang with her dying breath.
We’re barely a minute in and already there’s a decapitation and a pair of eyes exploding from their sockets.

Chick Corea died on February 9, 2021, due to “a rare form of cancer which was only discovered very recently,” as was announced on social media. He was 79-years-old, and leaves behind a legacy as a pioneer of jazz fusion, but his musical output never stopped — from his earlier career working with Miles Davis all the way to his 2020 double album “Plays.” He’s one of the biggest winners in the history of the Grammys, and he could actually increase that total this year, albeit posthumously.
His first recognition from the recording academy came in 1974 with a pair of nominations: Best Instrumental Arrangement (“Spain”) and Best Jazz Performance by a Group (“Light as a Feather” with his band Return to Forever). He didn’t win those prizes, but that’s okay. Over the next 46 years he accumulated 23 Grammys out of a total 67 nominations. That places him eighth on the list of the all-time biggest winners.

As Chick Corea witnessed for himself again and again, including on the British music series The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1976, the strangest thing happened in pop during the Seventies. Music fans would buy tickets to arena or amphitheater shows by bands like Return to Forever — founded and fronted by the late jazz keyboardist, who died of an unspecified type of cancer on February 9th at 79. Then they would settle into their seats and watch, and attentively listen, as the musicians would play an hour or two of entirely instrumental music.

Exclusive: Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television have cast the new group of teenagers (and a couple of adults) at the center of the I Know What You Did Last Summer series reboot.
Madison Iseman (Jumanji: The Next Level), Brianne Tju (Light as a Feather), Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping), Sebastian Amoruso (Solve), Fiona Rene (Stumptown), Cassie Beck (Connecting), Brooke Bloom (Homecoming) and Bill Heck (I’m Your Woman) are set to star in the YA horror series, a modern take on the hit 1997 slasher film. You didn’t need to be a teenage witch — practicing or just aspiring — to vibe with Andrew Fleming’s 1996 cult classic “The Craft.” Underneath all the glamour (literally) is a film about alienation, bullying, and value in fighting back against people who want to keep you down. In short: perfect for teens, even better for teen girls. Nearly a quarter-century after Fleming’s film was released (and became a sleeper hit in the process), its magic has finally inspired
Zoe Lister-Jones’ “The Craft: Legacy” wears its affection and appreciation for the first film on its bedazzled sleeves, while making the case for the newly minted series to continue in a very different era than the one in which it was conceived. Lister-Jones’ callbacks to Fleming’s original come in a variety of forms, from winking nods to iconic lines and scenes to a firm handle on the original’s more complex emotions and interpersonal relationships.
