Currently prepping for Hondisi Bareyiri, Bhavanaa speaks to Tnm about the film, how she signs movies, the pay gap in the film industry and more. “I usually look for emotional connect in films. I think it’s important for people to feel a sense of connection when they watch a movie. The prominent new release of the week, ?Ayushmann Khurrana?s Amar 'Stree' Kaushik directed Bala, embarked on a fairly good 30 percent start during the dreaded morning shows, on a working day! The start is all the more creditable as just a week back Kumar Mangat?s Ujda Chaman, based on a similar storyline, had hit the cinemas.
The film picked up further during the latter shows, based on positive word-of-mouth and by and largely good reviews. As things stand, Bala is set for a good weekend haul and continue Ayushmann?s consecutive success story.
The other releases of the week, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Adah Sharma starrer Bypass Road (still uncertain), the comedy film Mr. Black Mr. White and Sooraj Pancholi?s Sattelite Shankar, were no match for Bala.
Meanwhile, after a great opening week (136 crore) Fox Star Studios and Sajid Nadiadwala?s Akshay, Bobby, Riteish, Kriti and Rana starrer,...

Bypass Road
Starring Neil Nitin Mukesh, Adah Sharma, Rajit Kapur, Gul Panag, Sudhanshu Pande
Directed by Naman Nitin Mukesh
A suspense thriller set in the precincts of a rich and privileged family, is not an easy feat to pull off for a first-time director. In the tradition of the best suspense cinema the narrative moves at a swelling pace of breathless upheavals, and it leaves you guessing till the closing titles. Shot in striking grey-and-white exteriors that play up the blood-red murkiness beneath, this thriller thrills at all the right places by creating a multiplicity of sexual conflicts that carry the film forward lurching to a gripping finale...

"The thriller genre is my forte. I started my film innings with 'Johnny Gaddaar'. This has to be the best experience in my career till date. I always wonder why limited filmmakers make good thrillers," said Neil.
Debutant director Naman hopes to set a new benchmark in the industry with this thriller.
"There is a limited number of thrillers churned out in the industry today. Home invasion as a subject hasn't been experimented with to a large extent, and we identified an opportunity there.

Former beauty queen, politician and actress Gul Panag, who will soon be seen in the film "Bypass Road", says that though she is getting interesting roles lately, she cannot limit herself to acting.
"Acting has never been the end-all of my life because I have always had different interest areas. Acting has enabled me to do different things -- whether it is my political career, social activism, my interest in flying, my entrepreneurship and enthusiasm as a fitness advocate. Acting has given me all that because I started living a public life as an actress," Gul told a well known publication.
"So, as a famous personality, I have earned respect, and I have utilised it to convey my thoughts in every platform. It has given me that credibility," she added.

The classic number "So Gaya Yeh Jahan" from the 1988 film "Tezaab" will be recreated for Neil Nitin Mukesh's upcoming movie "Bypass Road". The actor says the song does poetic justice to the plot of the film.

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is gearing up for the release of "Bypass Road", has said that the genre of home invasion hasn't been explored well in our country as compared to international films.
"Nowadays, people want to showcase weird or over-the-top concepts so that the audience takes them seriously. When this film's story came into my mind, I realised that we haven't attempted such a genre in Indian cinema. I think home invasion is very popular genre in international films but we haven't been able to explore it in our films. Thriller films have their fan base in every industry so, I feel if you have made a good thriller the audience will always appreciate it. That's why I have written "Bypass Road", said Neil, while interacting with the media at the trailer launch of the film.
