Lou D'Allesandro (Democratic Party) is a member of the New Hampshire State Senate, representing District 20. He assumed office in 1998. His current term ends on December 4, 2024.
D'Allesandro (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the New Hampshire State Senate to represent District 20. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
D'Allesandro was first elected to the chamber in 1998. During his time in the Senate, he has served as Deputy Democratic Leader.
D'Allesandro served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1996 to 1998. He is a former candidate for Governor of New Hampshire. He has also attended the New Hampshire Constitutional Convention and the Democratic National Convention.
On May 21, 2024, D’Allesandro announced he would not seek re-election to the New Hampshire State Senate District 20. [1]
Biography
D'Allesandro earned his B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in 1961 and his M.A. from Rivier College in 1971. He then attended postgraduate programs, including Senior Executives in State and Local Government, at Harvard University in 1990, 1995, and 2000.[2]
His professional experience includes working as a Director of Admissions for New Hampshire College from 1974 to 1976, President and CEO of Daniel Webster College from 1976 to 1980, Consultant for Center for Life Management from 1980 to 1981, Executive Assistant to the President at New England College from 1981 to 1982, Director of Community Relations/Marketing Consultant for the Merrimack Valley College of the University of New Hampshire from 1982 to 1983, Vice President of Computer Management Dynamics, Incorporated, from 1984 to 1986, President/CEO of Nasson College from 1986 to 1988, a radio talk show host for WMVU and Vice President of Continuing Education at Franklin Pierce College from 1994 to 1997, and Vice President of Bus Sales at Patsy's Companies from 1997 to 1999. He has been a interviewer for Manchester Community Television since 1997. He has also been Adjunct Faculty at Franklin Pierce College since 1999. D'Allesandro served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves in 1958.[2]

Incumbent Lou D'Allesandro was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Eileen Landies was unopposed in the Republican primary.
