There was not a Wauwatosa Photo ID Requirement Referendum on the April 6 ballot in Milwaukee County for voters in the city of Wauwatosa.

Enough signatures were not gathered in time.

There was a petition drive to get enough signatures to put this issue on the April ballot. It sought to make it so that in order to vote in an election, you must show a photo ID to verify your identity. But this vote would not have enacted a law to require photo ID, it would just show the state, who has to enact the law, that city voters what that sort of voter fraud protection. 3,624 valid signatures were needed by December 30 in order to put this question on the April ballot.[1]
