On his campaign website, DeVore addressed the following issues:[5]
Taxes
- Excerpt: "Through the use of consumption tax rather than the traditional federal and local income taxes, the working middle class will only receive the following deductions from their pay checks: Health Insurance premiums; Retirements /401ks investments; Social Security; Volunteer, Social organizations that help others help themselves. Over time, bonuses should be taxes free. There should be no limits on how much an individual can earn."
Education
- Excerpt: "[DeVore] wants to provide opportunities for more students to continue their education after high school, through avenues such as a two-year degree or a vocational trade. This will be done through the incorporation of local businesses and private contributions. This is an opportunity for the pursuit of happiness."
Free market
- Excerpt: "Robert DeVore Jr’s goal is to broaden the free market by placing economic powers in the hands of individuals. Entitlement programs from the local, state and federal Governments should be reduced."
Religious beliefs
- Excerpt: "Robert DeVore Jr’s passion is to see a love for God’s word; this passion would, in effect, raise the standard of human life in our community, Sate, Nation and around the World. As a community, we have the God-given right to esteem American values. These include love for God, state & National pride (Americanism), liberty, family, and the pursuit of happiness. We are extremely fortunate to have the freedom to choose to pursue happiness, rather than achieve it by chance. We should embrace these values as American citizens."
