Crown Prince Frederik is 41 years old and still has a difficult relationship with his father, the old King Christian X, who keeps his son out of the royal court. But as the king is hospitalized following a violent riding accident, the Crown Prince is deployed very much against his father's will as a reigning deputy during one of the most critical moments of the war.
