He performs a set of daily tasks that may be considered monotonous by someone else, but John's missing something most people have: dreams. He doesn't dream by night and he's never felt the pull of a hope by day. One night, John falls asleep and wakes in a dream. On a bustling street he sees a girl who shows him something he's never felt before - movement. Something he wants. She disappears and he's left with a taste of what he's never had. The next night a similar dream occurs. The third night he falls asleep and awakens in a dream in his bedroom. The girl approaches him and touches him lightly. He wakes in the morning and moves.
