Abstract

Conrad Röntgen (1845-1923) having achieved the rank of Physics Professor was Director of the Institute on this subject and Rector of the University of Würzburg, in Germany. A world-wide celebrity for his discovering X Rays, he was honored in 1901 with the Nobel Prize. His researches originated a very new science: Radiology, allowing diagnoses and treatments.
