Epilepsy Behav. 2002 Oct;3(5S):10-12. doi: 10.1016/s1525-5050(02)00508-5.

Abstract

The association of anxiety with epilepsy has been noted for centuries. Anxiety can occur at different phases of a seizure event and present with diverse clinical symptoms similar to those seen in panic, obsessive-compulsive, or generalized anxiety disorders. Pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatments of anxiety in the context of epilepsy are discussed.
