Comparative report on endoscopic and surgical treatment for early gastric cancer in elderly patients

Arq Gastroenterol. 1992 Jul-Sep;29(3):75-9.

Abstract

Two cases of elderly patients with similar early gastric cancers who were submitted to endoscopic and surgical treatment are presented as examples. Considering older patients as a sole group in the decision-making process we discuss the pros and cons of each therapy supporting efficacy and opposing side effects in order to maintain a reasonable quality of life.
