Abstract

Gpp[NH]p, forskolin, and NaF were found to activate the activity of adenylate cyclase in vitro in the membrane fraction of the striatum. Gangliosides decreased the level of basal activity of the striatal adenylate cyclase. Gangliosides were shown to modulate the activity of the enzyme through changes in its catalytic properties.
