Study of blood aminoacids in experimental hyperphenylalaninemia

Biomedicine. 1977 Mar;27(2):51-2.

Abstract

Hyperphenylalaninemia was induced in rats treated with p. chlorophenylalanine and cotrimoxazole, without administration of excess phenylalanine. Enhancement of phenylalaninemia and abnormalities in other serum amino acids were similar to those found in phenylketonuric patients, out of the restricted diet.
