Scand J Caring Sci. 1992;6(3):139-45. doi: 10.1111/j.1471-6712.1992.tb00140.x.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to create a descriptive evaluation basis for the quality of nursing care. In this article a short quantitative description of the most frequent elements of good nursing care is reported, using the views of Finnish nurses and nurse teachers. These elements are: interaction, comprehensiveness, need-centerness, initiativeness, technical procedures and knowledge-base. Based on these, further research areas can be seen both in nursing practice and in education.
