Abstract

Toxicogenomics is a new scientific field that elucidates how the entire genome is involved in biological responses of organisms exposed to environmental stressors and provides profound understanding of the roles of gene-environment interactions in pathogenesis of disease using high throughput technologies. In this paper, the research progress on the toxicogenomics and its application in both improving environmental health and preventing environmentally related disease were reviewed.
