Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze important methodological questions in estimates of the prevalence and risk factors in erection disorders. Sampling problems, lack of standardization in epidemiological and clinical data recording, nosographic uncertainties, explain the wide variability of prevalence estimates (2-10%). Lack of standard epidemiological methods produces differences in risk estimates of reviewed factors.
