Abstract

Alterations of pulmonary parenchyma are complications of ankylosing spondylitis. A 60-year-old man presented with extended fibrocystic changes in the right upper pulmonary lobe in the course of ankylosing spondylitis of many years duration. Pneumonia refractory to treatment and hemoptysis developed as complications necessitating pneumonectomy.
