[Tracheostomy in children with a clinical analysis of 156 cases]

Abstract

Objective: To analyze the etiology and complications of the tracheotomy in children.

Method: A hundred and fifty-six cases of tracheotomized children were retrospectively analyzed.

Result: Three of the 156 cases died for protopathy, 132 cases extubated smoothly after the protopathies curing, 21 cases (including the laryngeal papilloma 18 ones) left hospital with endotracheal tubes. The complication's incidence rate was 23.1%, of these 1.9% was severer.

Conclusion: The children's tracheotomy is distinct. Tracheotomy in children should hold indication correctly and operated versedly and nursed meticulously in order to reduce complications.
