Infection. 2008 Aug;36(4):384-6. doi: 10.1007/s15010-007-6291-9. Epub 2007 Dec 14.

Abstract

Mediterranean spotted fever (MSF) is an acute febrile, zoonotic disease caused by Rickettsia conorii. MSF is considered a relatively benign disease, but severe complications occur occasionally. However, reports of ocular involvement are few. We describe a case of retinal manifestation in a patient with R. conorii infection.
