Molecular organization, ontogeny and expression of murine alpha beta and gamma delta T cell receptors

Exp Clin Immunogenet. 1991;8(2):57-74.

Abstract

T lymphocytes recognize antigens via transmembrane heterodimers, their T cell receptors (TCR). T cells express either TCR alpha beta or TCR gamma delta isotypes. Several molecular mechanisms are employed to diversify the TCR repertoire. Ontogeny, transcriptional regulation, and control of TCR expression will be discussed.
