Synthesis and incorporation of fluorescent C-nucleoside analogue into oligodeoxyribonucleotides

Nucleic Acids Symp Ser (Oxf). 2008:(52):371-2. doi: 10.1093/nass/nrn187.

Abstract

Fluorescent nucleoside analogues were synthesized and derived to protected nucleoside phosphoramidite. The nucleoside analogue bearing 3-aminobenzonitrile was sensitive to the surrounding environment. 3-Aminobenzonitrile is a similar size with pyrimidine base. Therefore, it is expected that the nucleoside little perturbs the formation of duplex. This nucleoside could be incorporated into DNA.
