Identification of a novel allele HLA-A*2489 by sequence-based typing in a Chinese individual

Tissue Antigens. 2009 Sep;74(3):249-50. doi: 10.1111/j.1399-0039.2009.01290.x. Epub 2009 Jun 2.

Abstract

A novel human leukocyte antigen-A allele, A*2489, was identified in a Chinese registered donor. The A*2489 allele differs from the closest matching allele A*2428 by two nucleotide substitutions, 257(A-->G) and 265(G-->C), in exon 2.
