Arch Gynecol Obstet. 2010 Apr;281(4):761-4. doi: 10.1007/s00404-009-1235-5. Epub 2009 Sep 30.

Abstract

Introduction: Association of cutaneous metastasis with cervical carcinoma is a rare finding, with only a few case reports in literature.

Case report: Herein, we report a case of cervical squamous cell carcinoma, which later presented as widespread skin metastases on the surgical scar as an initial sign of recurrent disease.

Conclusion: In conclusion, incisional cutaneous and vulval metastasis is a rarity with cancer cervix and is considered as an ominous prognostic sign with a short survival after diagnosis.
