Domiciliary management of congenital dislocation of the hip

Bull Hosp Jt Dis Orthop Inst. 1990 Spring;50(1):77-83.

Abstract

The authors describe their experience in treating congenital dislocation of the hip by means of domiciliary traction. Because the children are allowed to live at home during the entire treatment period, family life is not disrupted. The treatment is not only more economical than a prolonged hospital admission would be, it is equally effective and the rate of complications is acceptably low.
