Applications of the distal anchoring technique in coronary and peripheral interventions

J Invasive Cardiol. 2011 Jul;23(7):291-4.

Abstract

The distal balloon anchoring technique involves inflation of a balloon distal to or at a target lesion to facilitate equipment delivery. We report various applications of this technique to facilitate complex coronary and peripheral arterial interventions.
