[Hemolytic-uremic syndrome associated with disseminated intravascular coagulation]

Abstract

A 20-month-old girl is reported who had the haemolytic-uraemic syndrome associated with disseminated intravascular clotting syndrome (DIC). Attention is called to the necessity of early recognition of the early activation phase of DIC in view of indication to heparin treatment of this syndrome.
