Abstract

We would present a fifteen years old girl's case, which after two years from the beginning of his symptoms; a pigmented meningioma was removed at the cervical level of the spinal cord. It showed morphologically and clinically like the named by Limas "meningeal melanocytoma". Four years after the operation, the girl developed a malignant melanoma with invasion of the posterior mediastinum. We conclude that we ought to consider the meningeal melanocytoma as a borderline tumour, similar in the other way to the cellular blue naevus and the spindle A melanoma of the uveal tract.
