The University of Toronto cochlear implant study: a clinical overview

Abstract

The process of patient selection for a cochlear implant varies significantly from center to center. The University of Toronto Cochlear Implant Study Group has adopted a protocol which is unique in this regard. This overview highlights our selection process, details aspects of temporary electrode insertion and describes clinical findings considered to be of relevance.
