Stress urinary incontinence can be treated surgically with bulking agents. This is a report of two cases: I. A 42-year-old woman had successful bulking in 2007, in 2023 there was a urological assessment due to an incidental cystic process near the urethra, and bulking agents were resected leading to severe incontinence due to sphincter insufficiency. II. A 46-year-old woman had successful bulking in 2019, a urological assessment was done due to recurrent urinary tract infections, and bulking agents were resected leading to chronic pain and incontinence. The cases underscores that unexpected findings should prompt careful reconsideration before intervention.
