Acta Haematol. 1978;59(4):246-9. doi: 10.1159/000207768.

Abstract

This report describes an unusual case of Waldenström's macroglobulinaemia, in which the sole demonstrable clinical manifestations were pleural effusion and ascites. Bone marrow aspirates and bone biopsy revealed no increase in lymphocytes. The case responded to a combination therapy of melphalan, cyclophosphamide and prednisolone.
