Total lung ectoplasia with systemic arterial supply

Abstract

A 6-month-old girl was not to have fever and stridor. Investigations revealed an abnormal lung that communicated with the esophagus and had a systemic arterial supply from the abdominal aorta. Resection of the abnormal lung was performed successfully. We have termed this disorder total lung ectoplasia. Ten patients from the literature were reviewed.
