Abstract

In Bamako, Republic of Mali, 100 serum samples from african women were examined for antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii by SABIN and FELDMAN dye-test. Positive titres were obtained in 34 %. Disease was acquired probably after twenty years of age. This result shows that the risk of contamination during pregnancy is important, and that the problem needs to receive more attention in Africa.
