Abstract

Cholesterolosis is the most frequent cause of polypous space-occupying growths of the gall bladder. Cholesterol polyps are visualised in sonography as usually multiple growths of 2-10 mm size, with abundant echoes and without shadows. The disease pattern is discussed on the basis of 8 sonographic images.
