Unusual foreign bodies: three case reports

Int J Oral Maxillofac Surg. 1995 Jun;24(3):208-9. doi: 10.1016/s0901-5027(06)80128-1.

Abstract

Accidental incorporation of foreign bodies may cause bizarre and varied complications. The patient may remain asymptomatic for months or years, or an abscess or sinus may develop. Foreign bodies which cannot be seen on radiographs are usually difficult to detect. A detailed and careful history of the patient is of the utmost importance.
