Branchio-oculo-facial syndrome and dermal thymus: case report and review of the literature

Abstract

We report a patient affected by the rare branchio-oculo-facial syndrome. Histologic study of the branchial clefts showed thymic remnants. A scanning electron microscopic study of the hair was also performed. The clinical features of the patient were compared with those of other patients reported in the literature.
