Nicoletta Cera is a Researcher at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, University of Porto. She graduated in Psychology, quoted 110/110 cum laude, at the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti and earned her Ph.D. in 2011 in “Functional Neuroimaging: from cells to systems –XXIII cycle”. She collaborated with the chair of Psychometrics at the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti, and she has been co-responsible, since 2019, for the chair of Psychology of Memory at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Porto. Since July 2018, she has been the principal investigator of the project NEUROTHERMOSEX (NORTE-01-0145-FEDER 30520), founded by Portuguese Foundation for the Science and Technology (FCT), in which the principal interest is the role played by oxytocin in human sexual behavior. Her topics of interest vary from the cerebral bases of male sexual arousal and psychogenic erectile dysfunction to aging and related pathologies, such as Mild Cognitive Impairment and resting state fMRI and EEG. Moreover, she is interested in multimodal functional neuroimaging with fMRI and the integration between eye movements and other psychophysiological signals with the BOLD signal.
